The Musician Luisella Orsini was born in Genoa in 1974. She studied at the conservatory
“D. Cimarosa” Avellino and obtained her diploma in pianoforte with top marks.
She achieved her “Compimento inferiore di Composizione” at the Conservatory “U .Giordano” Foggia.
She studied specialization courses of Composition under the guidance of the music master
Berardo Mariani, she attended specialization courses of Piano under the guidance of master
Sergio Fiorentino at the “Nino Rota”Academy, Gioia del Colle. Currently she is studying at
Pescara Academy and the Angelica Costantiniana Academy of Arts, Literature and Science
attending specialization piano courses with the pianist Marcella Crudeli. She is also attending
a II Level solo pianist experimental course at the “D.Cimarosa” Conservatory at Avellino.
She also attended a course for Orchestra conduction at the music Conservatory “U .Giordano” Foggia.
She won first prize at the 7th national piano Competition “Città di Valentino” and at the
2nd National Piano Competition “Città del Barocco”. She was also among the first in many
other national competitions including the 7th National Music Competition “Città di Ruvo di Puglia”,
the 10th National Competition “Giovani Musicisti” of the Gargano, the 1st National Competition
“Città di Giovinazzo”.
Since December 1994 she has been the conductor of the polyphonic choir “Cesar Franck” of
Manfredonia and with them she has taken part in a large number of concerts in various regions
of Italy. Notable was an appearance on Italian television, chanel Rete 4, of their performance,
during Holy Mass, at the new church of St. Pio of Pietrelcina in San Giovanni Rotondo in 2004.
Since 1999 she has been the external music expert and choir leader of the Children’s choir from
the junior school “Croce”, Manfredonia.
In 2004 she also became the choir leader of the children’s choir “I Colibri” of the junior
school “Madre Teresa di Calcutta” Manfredonia.
Since 2004 she has performed as a piano soloist in 4 hand piano duets and piano and clarinet
duets during the concert season “Amici della Musica”at Monte Sant’Angelo.
In 2005 she performed in piano recitals in the “Concerti del Tempietto” Music Festival of the
Nations organised by the commune of Rome and held in Rome.
She is the head of the “O.M.T. recording studio and School of Music” in Manfredonia.
She has taken part in numerous concerts and musical events as pianist, choir leader and
orchestra conductor, where she obtained both approval and praise.
